Description: The future is as fun and bright as we imagine it. Humanity as an advanced, mature, interstellar civilisation that lives in harmony with nature and in peace with other extraterrestrial civilisations doesn’t mean we have to give up what makes us human to fit into a preconceived image of “futurism.” We, today, are our great grandparents’ vision of the future. And probably to their great surprise, the only difference between us is our more advanced technology and knowledge. Humans in their essence have always been the same and will always be the same: across time, we all share the same dreams, desires, pains, passions, and emotions, and I believe the same can be said for other cultures out there in the universe. “Brave New World” is meant to bridge the gap between our future and present selves and humanise the future, making it more tangible. Life is made out of little moments in time—like enjoying ice cream with a friend on a sunny summer day. Even in the future when technology advances and space travel becomes an everyday normality, life will consist of those little things. This painting is a symbol of unity and hope, but also a memento to remind us to cherish those little moments that make up life.
